Day 1:
I snapped some final pics, waved goodbye to the sailing men and smiled to myself, thinking of all the adventures that lay ahead.
Little did I know that the first adventure would occur before they even left the SF Bay! Seems a few wayward tourists (and a dog!) in a paddleboat were caught in a 3 knot ebb tide that morning and were getting swept out to sea. The Coast Guard had issued a pan pan for help from any larger craft in the area and guess who was the first to spot them?
And, yes...they made the newspaper that day. Read all about it, (and more) in Latitude 38:
