Bill and I pulled up the dock lines on Saturday morning and were in the Benecia Marina by nightfall. It is a rare occurance that we sail back to a place we have already been, and this cute little town is filled with quaint shops, art galleries and "old salt" taverns.
We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner aboard, complete with a 12 lb. turkey that just barely fit in the oven (pre-measured, of course(!)...doesn't everyone walk around with a measuring tape when selecting a turkey?), complementary sides (the usual delicious-ness) and mimosas, natch!
Although admitedly, the weather was a bit nasty, we remained cozy and warm aboard and had the rare opportunity to do a bunch of absolutely nothing for 4 sweet days. We read books!
Here are a few pics of our journey. Happy Thanksgiving!
