Beautiful Benecia!

Blogdates: May 16th and 17th, 2009

With temperatures finally approaching “Lorell Comfort Levels” in the ‘80’s (it happens occasionally in the Bay area!), Bill and I left the dock for a wonderful weekend that took us North into San Pablo Bay and a few miles further into the mouth of the Sacramento River to the lovely, laid back town of Benecia, California. With the idea that we would “get there fast and then we’ll take it slow”, we mostly motored North and pulled up to the docks at the Benecia Marina, enjoying an evening of wandering about town, including a reciprocal stop at the Benecia Yacht Club, courtesy of our beloved Tiburon Yacht Club. We inagurated our new BBQ grill with Bill’s creation of “lamb chops extraordinaire “, watched the sunset and retired for the night. Next day we wandered back to town to photo-document the beauty of this precious gem-of-a-town and leisurely sailed homeward to Sausalito.

Have I mentioned that life is good?
