The Reaves Arrive! :)

On Friday, July 25th we welcomed our friends the Reaves to their guest cottage docked behind our Tiburon home. Our first order of business, however, was to sail her from Farallone Yacht’s in Alameda across the San Francisco Bay. After a BBQ feast in Alameda, thanks to Mikee’s friend’s recommendation (and darn it, I wish I could remember the name of the place) we hopped aboard and sailed away. It was a beautiful day as Mikee took the helm and reminisced about the adventures of their seafaring Escapade and (I swear!) Susie saw the "biggest damn buoy” she had ever seen!!! ;)

Saturday afternoon we enjoyed brunch at Sam’s Anchor Café with the addition of Christina, Kendall and Christina’s friend Sarah (her Phillip’s Academy buddy who was visiting from Seattle).

Saturday evening we enjoyed dinner at our home with Pam and Bob McCaskill. Bob and Mike were buddies growing up in Dallas. Susie has also known them since "back in the day" in San Francisco and now the McCaskill’s are our Belvedere neighbors and friends. It is truly a wonderfully small world! Bob and Pam also hosted the Reaves at their home on the Delta, where Mike and Susie parked the bus for a whirlwind west coast tour. (Photo of Susie and the McCaskill’s courtesy of Mikee).
