Sailing the Bay with Christina, Roger and Zach

Blogbook Date: Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Another beautiful day for sailing in San Francisco. We returned the Bonnie Lass to her port in Alameda where she will undergo some primping (name and hailing port applied, and additional metal work / canvas) and some updating (new RayMarine E Series electronics). We were happy to have our daughter Christina aboard with two friends, Roger and Zach. Three hours across the Bay on a single tack, with NW winds at 17 knots. Just lovely!

Our latest and greatest new toy was tested out on Saturday. We splurged on an underwater camera (surprisingly inexpensive, actually) with 60' of optic cable that attaches to the TV input and allows us to watch the anchor, check out the prop, or set it near a baited hook and watch ourselves fish for supper while eating breakfast. This is a serious toy for seriously lazy adults. Check it out at www.borelmfg.com.
