Ballena Isle and Yacht Club Weekend "do"

Bill and I set sail together for the first time since returning from Cabo San Lucas last November. Although Bill has sailed with buddies or single handed the Lass over the past few months, this weekend marked a milestone event; the weather was warm enough for me to venture out. Better yet, we were invited to join the infamous "Gang of Four" (sailing friend of Bills') on a weekend adventure to the south Bay, and a country western BBQ at the Ballena Bay Yacht Club, in Alameda.

There were twelve of us in all, and we all had "boat loads" of fun on an eventful Father's Day weekend. Now let's see...I think there may be only 50 more marinas to explore on the Bay. Time's a wastin'.....hope the weather hold up!

Featured in these photos are our friends Nic, Brian and Eric, alongside Bill. I also took some pics on the return sail, featuring the San Francisco city front, the Golden Gate Bridge and a few delights in between.
