Time for a Blog Break

Hello again to our family, friends and “followers”.

I have decided that this will be my last blog entry for both the sailing blog and the (former) house-hunting blog until the mood moves me to re-start either of them, to create an entirely new entity, or…
Who knows what is waiting around the next creative corner?

So…
until then, we welcome you to check in with us using any of the other available communication vehicles, including personal visits.  We’d love to hear from you (and see you) soon!
Hugs, Peace, and Best Wishes!

The Journey of Vueve Clicquot

With a special nod of thanks to my lovely friend Nic (who was reading a book of the same name, about the French champagne heiress, at the very moment I met her), I now know that every bottle of Vueve Clicquot lays claim to it's own special journey.  I highly recommend the book, as well as my friend Nic!
This particular bottle of champagne has had it's own particular journey. Chronology is as follows;

This is not a painting, just the view out of the window.

Seated for dinner, watching the sun set.  Note the fishing trawler, birds following the catch.

Statues, Statues ...Everywhere!

I am not sure when it was, exactly, that I first noticed we were surrounded by statues here at the Coral Hotel & Marina.  It was probably over 4 years ago when we arrived on our first extended visit in Ensenada, MX.

Now I feel as though I have always known them.  Sublime, omnipotent, and protective.  They now speak to me of a call to the sea, of adventure, and the of  the known/unknown.

There  may be over 50 statues watching over us here.  Most are located near the hotel pool.  Most are old and weathered, some are new and fresh.  And (just when I least expect it!) I am surprised to find a new statue friend placed in a discreet corner of my universe.  I always whisper,  "Hello, and thank you all...!"

I imagine this turtle in her former glory!

This particular statue sits outside the entrance of the Marina office.
She seems very protective of her fleet!

xo!

Sailing Adventure To Todos Santos Island

This amazing sailing adventure was nearly two months in the making, and a rare treat!

We organized a trip for three (very fine!) Catalina Morgan 440 sailboats, all rounded up in Ensenada, MX, for three fun filled days of sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing; all while fitting in plenty of time to do a whole bunch of absolutely nothing.

One of the reasons this is a rare treat is because there are only 60 of this sailboat model available anywhere in the world...and many are currently circumnavigating. Love, love, love this sailboat!

Here we have the first-ever(!) photos of the Bonnie Lass (hull #50) under sail, along with hull #1 and hull #40.

Back at the dock with the cast 'n crew of the 3 CM440's

Can't wait to do this again :0)
Also, please stop back for more pics soon!
